Film: Tony

This is the coming-of-age story of chef Anthony Bourdain. All I know about him is that he was a chef, from seeing trailers for a TV show and the cover of his book. Apparently, the stories in that book make up this film. I don’t know if he grew up to be a good person, but as a teenager, according to this film, he was a lying, cheating, spoilt brat. So that was fun to watch — not.

However, Antonio Banderas as the owner-chef who gave Bourdain his only chance, which led to him change his dream from being a writer to a chef, stole the show.

I thought this teen bit would be a 10-minute setup for the film. Sadly, it took the whole 1hr 45 minutes.
