Film: Coyote vs. Acme

AKA the thinking world versus Amzn.

The premise: Wile E. Coyote is fed up with buying goods from Acme that fail to live up to their promises, which means he never gets to catch the Road Runner. So he gets a lawyer, the down-on-his-luck Kevin Avery (Will Forte), to take on sleazy, greedy corporate counsel Buddy Crane (John Cena), with whom he went to law school.

Cartoon characters from childhood on the big screen was always going to be a nostalgic delight. But this is actually more than that, as Coyote vs. Acme is a great film. Tweety Bird, Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig and Daffy Duck all make me smile, even if Daffy is working for the bad guys.

The human side of the story centres on a small law firm that puts everything into this case and faces a precarious future if they survive it. Young Paige Avery (Lana Condor) is the driving force in the law firm.

Coyote vs. Acme moves fast. I can't wait to see it again, certain I missed things on the first viewing.

Whatever the problems in getting this released, I’m grateful it came out.

Beep Beep.
