Film - The Fabelmans

Youngster Sammy Fabelman is captivated by filmmaking, something his mum, a pianist,  (Michelle Williams) is super proud of.

You do what your heart says you have to

All is going well in the Fableman’s household - even when they move across the country to California until Sammy slowly uncovers a family secret he has to keep to himself.

Said to be highly autobiographical for the films maker Stephen Spielberg, the Fabelmans proves to be an insightful coming-of-age drama. It is littered with Spielberg magic, and draws us right into that front room in the post-war early 1950s when the world (I imagine) was on an upward trajectory.
