Super September

One amazing month (and a bit) in Birmingham.Friday 11th Complete Muppetry Comedy Night at Two Towers.Comedy night, actually in a breweryMonday 14th King Crimson at Symphony HallWeds 14th Royal Danish Orchestra at Symphony HallI'd ordinarily count myself lucky if I get to this amazing venue once or twice a year so twice in the same week is special.Tuesday 22nd Shakespeare at Stratford Up in Avon.My first time seeing a play in this renowned venue. Such a shame the service in the bar before was inexcusably awful. Five people got serviced before me when I got to the front of the bar, and they were pretty abrupt. Henry V was great but never again.Thursday 24th 45 Years at Electric CinemaGlad I got to see this film at the lovely ElectricTo top off the great month, we had the first Birmingham Weekender. There was art and entertainment everywhere we looked, including in the newly opened Grand Central and new New Street station. Possibly the best weekend I've had in the city in all my six years.Friday 2nd October Strauss' Salome at Symphony HallThe big cultural month peeks a little into October - back at Symphony Hall again! And timely as we're getting ready to go to Vienna in October.Saturday 3rd Dead Dog in a Suitcase (and Other Love Songs) Birmingham RepIt's got to be my favourite theatre and what an amazing, original play. England were playing on the same night so I went to this one solo. And then straight onto daily visits to the 10 day Birmingham Literature Festival.@RickieWrites
