Movie: Taken 3

(Seen on flight to Vancouver)I appear to have missed Taken 2 and but our man with the certain set of skills is on with the third in the series and I figure it’s worth a watch while I’m being flown over the Atlantic. He has retired from the killing bad guys industry, that is, until his ex-wife, mother of his beloved daughter (the one he saved from human trafficking in Taken v1) is murdered and he is framed for it.The film had the anticipated one liners to keep it entertaining and whereas the Taken trilogy started as a fairly serious movie (I’ve never been able to sit through the tension of the first one again) it got childish and silly very quickly – a bit like how Dallas started as a serious drama in the 1980s but ended as a pastiche of itself. He's a man who knows how to disappearI do love the fact that he is one step ahead of the police  - he is ex-CIA after all – and in a way, the investigating team lead by Franck (Forest Whitaker) know that he is innocent and are quietly intrigued by each of his next moves. Who has framed him? There are a couple of options to explore as we are bounced along with bullets and fists flying throughout. Worth a chuckle.6½/10Smile factor 7/10
