Movie: Lucy

Not on my list but there’s nothing else on.What should have been a fun look at how a women who goes on the rampage after a large drugs bag placed inside her burst and gets into her blood stream was slow to get off the starting line. The drugs were placed by thugs in Taipei – no idea why Lucy (Scarlett Johansen) was there – who wanted her to fly back home as a means of transport for them. How she gets put in that position is laughable; her boyfriend type person is trying to convince her to deliver a mystery briefcase to a no doubt up to no good man. She resists for far too long giving him enough time to handcuff the case to her. She still doesn’t run to the nearest hardware to store to get it removed, but does in the building as instructed by the lowlife. There were others abducted to act as a parcel box for these new drugs to be taken to various countries, were more thugs are waiting to rip their bodies open.Only thing is after a beating while still held prisoner, Lucy’s drugs bag bursts and she suddenly becomes this strong, intelligent woman. It turns out the drugs help you use all of the brain rather than 10% the world-renowned expert (God AKA Morgan Freeman) is telling us throughout the film. But all this takes too long. Once Lucy starts, it’s entertaining, until the unnecessary killing starts. The one person she decides not to kill, is the drug lord at the top. And of course her makeup stays perfectly intact through every fight and torture screen.Wonder what brand they used. Stoopid. And hasn’t Ms J played the part of alien/odd being quite a bit this year?6/10 Yawn.Smile factor 5/10
